MSG might be known for sports, but as a mom, I’ve become more familiar with the theater. (Did you even know they have one?) Throughout the year, they host many traveling family shows (over the holidays we saw the Grinch, and in February, Sesame Street Live) – so you should really bookmark them to watch what is coming up next. Just recently they hosted Feld’s Entertainment Disney Live: Three Classic Fairy Tales. And luckily, The Moms invited Maximo and I to come get a sneak peek to tell you all about the show (don’t worry – it’s still running locally and coming to other locations like Pittsburgh and Boston over the next couple of months! Read more below.)
Tip: If you’re a Chase card holder like myself, bring it with you! You can get a kids meal for the show (including a hotdog, chips and juice) for only $2.50! What! No I swear, you’re not dreaming – leave that to Snow White.
Even Princes Get a Fairy Tale Ending

The show includes three classic Disney storylines: Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and Snow White. And before you go thinking, that’s a girls show, let me prove you wrong. (Maximo may have also enjoyed trying to give all the ladies poison apples a little TOO much.)
The Feld’s have entertainment down. The show is hosted by none other than Mickey and Minnie Mouse (with the help of Donald and Goofy). Let me just say, this was the selling point for Max – he couldn’t contain his poker face as smiles took over every time Mickey popped up on stage. They leave no details untouched. From the costumes, to the special effects (try fireworks and a very realistic magic mirror on the wall!), to the beautiful attention to detail on the stage props – this show will really make the magic of these fairy tales come to life.

Now, I have a confession to make. As a 33-year old female, who grew up a pretty serious tom boy, I didn’t exactly remember how the Beauty and the Beast storyline unfolded. We all know they end up “happily ever after,” but I just want to say as non-Disney addict, I was rather impressed with how they could capture my attention. The show is truly designed to please all ages.
Who is Feld Entertainment

Thanks to The Moms, we had a pre-show party with arts and crafts and a chance to meet the characters. Of course, Maximo wanted NO part of this – Dopey is kind of scary up close with that big head. But, I did get to meet the ladies behind the show. Alana Feld was there herself, as a mom toting her own daughter around just like us. She reminded me a lot of myself – combining work and motherhood. I think it’s important to see this aspect of entertainment and what we do. Women (and moms!) are out there working hard everyday, finding a way to tote their kids and making a living. I love to support mom-ran businesses, and you should, too!
Upcoming Shows:
April 16 and 17: Starting tomorrow and this weekend they will be in Long Island – so grab your tickets quick!
And Don’t worry Pittsburgh – Disney is coming to you on August 22nd!

HA seriously –

Step 2 – surround yourself with fresh fruit and veggies. When you shop in store or online, go directly to the fresh produce and pick up everything that’s in season or on sale. Remember, berries and fruit freeze well! So even if you don’t use it all – freeze! Bananas make a great staple ingredient in all drinks as well, and ALWAYS grab something green to blend in. Examples: Strawberry, banana and spinach. Blueberry, melon, pineapple, carrot and ginger. (pictured above: Banana, milk, Nutella). Get creative – see what you like/ don’t like and have fun with it.

When was the last time you really indulged? I have had a hankering for the molasses cookies I used to eat on the farm, and decided to try a new recipe. I turned a childhood favorite into something you seriously might want me to make for your next birthday party (taking orders!), or you can attempt them yourself.
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Carter’s. I received a complimentary gift card to facilitate my review and thank me for my participation.

City living can either be amazing or awful. Some days it’s both. But one thing that will ruin your day faster than a diaper blowout with no baby wipes in your bag is not preparing in advance for getting around the city with your little one in tow. Public transportation is here to help you navigate the city easily, though, not always effortlessly—especially when you find yourself carrying a stroller, diaper bag and baby. Here is a simple guide to New York City transportation that will make even a tourist a pro!
