“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Amazon Studios. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and promotional item to thank me for participating.” There’s a new show on the scene – and it’s about the take our electronic devices by storm! If you weren’t already loving Amazon since you can buy anything you need from them online, Amazon Mom, the new… Keep Reading
One thing I’ve learned in the eleven months since Maximo was born is that you can only go so long before children get stir crazy. Well, maybe it’s just that my kid has inherited my stir-craziness. Or maybe it’s the fact that 99% of NYC homes are the size of shoe boxes. Whatever the cause, Maximo has to get outside at least once a day and burn some energy. When… Keep Reading
Now that we’re parents, we just don’t go out and party till 4 am like we used to. I know, all you single people out there are feeling depressed – give up your party lifestyle? I am pretty sure I’ve partied enough for 5 lifetimes, so it’s okay that I’m not out till the sun comes up in NYC anymore. However, I haven’t given up parties altogether. The trick is… Keep Reading
So I was one of the lucky bloggers chosen by Disney to throw a party. Yes! Disney! They picked me?? Then I thought – F*&%! I have to throw a party?? The only parties I am good at throwing involve loud music and lots of tequila. Throwing Maximo’s 1st birthday was simple because the Queens Zoo did a lot of the work for me, so this was really going to… Keep Reading
Let’s be honest, I am NOT creative. I can re-create things, but usually they come out looking like those totally failed #nailedit images from Pinterest. If you want creativity, there are many more moms out there better than I. However – living in NYC exposes you to many things you wouldn’t normally try – food you’d only see on Andrew Zimmer’s Bizarre foods, risking your life in a NYC cab,… Keep Reading
The first haircut. It’s hard for me to write about this because I don’t even really know what to say except give you a calendar of events. It all started about a year ago when Maximo was only 3 months old. Claudio’s culture is the shave the head so the hair grows back quickly. **You can read my full break down during that experience here** As you can imagine, I… Keep Reading
Being a mom is F-ING hard. And society doesn’t make it any easier. In a country where there is zero required maternity leave by companies, formula and baby clothes cost more than a weekend getaway – in FRANCE, and people shun you for breastfeeding in public, it’s a wonder how we have any family values left! Ok – if many of you didn’t see all the posts and hoopla over last… Keep Reading
I’m about to change my blog to “the adventures of Maximo” – babies are like little mini Christopher Colombus’ — only cooler. Ohhhh to only hear the stories I recap from his point of view – I wonder what he’d say? Probably just “my mom is a $&%^$&$# lunatic dont mess with her.” End of story. Take this weeks adventure for example – Now I don’t consider myself high maintenance… Keep Reading
