You don’t have to be Vince Neil to be a rock star.
There are lots of ways you can earn that medal these days, but one of the proudest ways is helping kids. Whether it’s a teacher, doctor, nurse, parent or aunt, it’s not for the faint at heart. Luckily, we have foundations out there that can help – but only if you know about them!
Recently, I talked about the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation, which, in my opinion, is one of the best foundations out there. The UHCCF offers grants to families in need of financial assistance for a child’s medical needs that aren’t being covered by their commercial health insurance plan. You can read more about that here.
There’s a parent out there right now who needs to know this.
They’re still looking to fulfill their goal of 50,000 grants by 2030 – so spread the world. Or maybe, you can be one of those grants yourself. Find out more and apply here.
Just want to help? It’s the giving season once again, and so maybe you’re feeling generous. You can help by making donations here, or maybe you love to run like I do and can help by raising money (and awareness!) by joining one of these races this month.
In fact, you can get your rock ‘n’ roll on for UHCCF by joining their half or full marathon teams.
November 2 – Team UHCCF at Rock ‘n’ Roll Savannah Marathon and 1/2 Marathon
November 17 – Team UHCCF at Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas (VEGAS!) Marathon and 1/2 Marathon
Here is a list to all the upcoming events for UHCCF. Maybe I’ll see you at one soon!
