I remember back on the farm (you know, the days before the Internet and Instagram) when we always had time for breakfast. In fact, it was the most important meal of the day because sometimes you just didn’t come back.
Not like stepping into the upside-down not come back, but farms don’t run themselves, people. We had to tend to the animals, and then tend to the fields to feed those animals, and then tend to the animals again.
It is a non-stop endless cycle of work. Sort of like my inbox.
So listen, if farmers can find time for breakfast, so can you. How can you take a page from their book?
Eat real foods with protein that will sustain you through the day. Heck, you can pack and take it with you on the tractor (er, subway commute).
Even better? Three Bridges have heard the cries of 2019 commuters and given you a solid breakfast in only 90 seconds (that ahem, cost less than grabbing them at a certain coffee shop).
I am a huge fan of these new Three Bridges Egg Bites. Because they come in four different varieties (two which are vegetarian!) and have 16-20 grams of protein:
– mushroom and asiago
– bell pepper and cheese
– uncured bacon and cheese
– country-style sausage
And in 90 seconds you have no reason to say you have no time for breakfast anymore.
Or, if you really want to get fancy – doctor them up as such.
You can eat them as is. You can toss in a sammy (for those mornings you might have slightly overdone it with the tequila the night before). PS shown here with a Gardein veggie “sausage” and I beg you to tell the difference.
Or #treatyoself. I honestly made this plate in about 3 minutes. I heated up the egg bites in the microwave, I tossed some mushrooms in a pan, and heated up some leftover veggie hash I had in the fridge.
What is really the best part of these egg bites though? There is no cooking or cleaning. Cause let’s be honest – cooking would be a lot more fun if someone did all the cleaning. And since most of us are our own housemaid, Valley Fine Foods basically created the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Where can you find these?
You can look up all the Three Bridges locations here. However – Sam’s Club. I told you last year guys – SC is where it’s AT. They are on another level and this is just another reason why.
That means Jersey City for NYC and Robinson Centre in Da Burgh (and also North and South Hills Sam’s Club). And also all the Wegman’s.
