This is going to change your life. I really don’t know how I didn’t get into spiralizing sooner. I’ve seen it, but never really thought it would be that good. Even one of my sorority sister’s met and reviewed Ali’s book, Inspiralized, introduced me, and I STILL wasn’t sold.
So I am not sure what really made me bite the bullet, but one day I just decided to grab one off Amazon, and ordered some Fresh Direct veggies so when I got back in town I would just go wild spiralizing everything. And that I did.
Pick up the spiralizer I use here!
Not only is it FUN to sprialize the s*** out of veggies (and toddlers LOVE to watch and help!), they actually TASTE GOOD this way. I swear. I picked of my favorite so far from Ali’s book, with veggies that are easy to find at the store in-season during spring, including Tuttorosso tomatoes (because they’re always my go-to canned tomatoes when you can’t find nice ones in-season at the store!).

Teriyaki Zucchini “Fried” Noodles with Shrimp, Peppers, Onions and Broccoli
So after I was having fun twirling veggies into pretty colorful strings, I decided to jump into Ali’s book – Insprialized, and really tested the limits – could I possibly go without pasta? I’ve tried the spaghetti squash route, but could zucchini really replace pasta? These “noodles” are so well flavored, you really don’t even notice. If fact, if you didn’t know they were zucchini, you might not even know! Get her recipe here.
This recipe is one of the best things I’ve ever made. Honestly. To see more recipes by Ali, check out her blog here, and following along on social media at #inspiralizethespring.
