It’s that time of year again when we love to all start new and as always, I love #veganuary for those who might want to try it out and see the difference it made in my life 2 years ago – December 2018 I said I would try it and have been mostly plant-based every since. You can see some of my journey here.
But being plant-based doesn’t mean it’s only for the foods you eat. Surprisingly, there are animal byproducts in a lot of things you wouldn’t expect – like supplements and vitamins, especially gummies with gelatin (which is made from animal collagen!). Vegan collagen can be challenging to find, so I’ve started compiling a list of products I love that are plant-based, like Acidil® from Boiron. I have been a fan of the homeopathic products from Boiron for quite some time, and happy to say they include a wide variety of over-the-counter products including Acidil® that helps with heartburn – they even have a hangover relief product, not that any of us would need that at this age, right?
Why I love Acidil®
- This homeopathic medicine is made with plant-based active ingredients and can be taken on a full or empty stomach.
- Acidil® has no known drug interactions and does not contain artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives.
- It helps with immediate relief from spicy foods – since you’re adding lots more flavor into your plant-based lifestyle.
So if you’re looking to go plant-based for 2021, you might want to check out Boiron for your medicine cabinet as well. I know it’s a whole new world of eating to navigate out there, so go in prepared and you’ll really love the journey you’re about to discover. Plus, you can now add all the Frank’s Red Hot you want to that “chickin” buffalo dip for football games. See the link here to that recipe I converted to “plant-based.”
