I don’t know about you, but this is pretty life changing for a New Yorker. It’s like when you look back and don’t know how you ever survived without Ubers – how did we eat before Seamless and Grubhub (you know Grubhub owns Seamless now, right?)? Just when technology couldn’t get any cooler, they went and integrated a new feature that will allow you to SCHEDULE your delivery of food – up to 72 hours in advance. Meet: Future Order.
Why is this so important? Because you can literally say, I have zero interest in cooking dinner tomorrow night and own it. You can pick up your phone and plan for a delicious 5-course meal (or just Mexican street tacos) to miraculously show up at your doorstep at exactly 6pm.
How’s it work? For the less tech-savvy, here are some step-by-step directions (and even a screen shot because, well, let’s be honest – some of us need it):
Now, can they actually make that delivery window better than Fresh Direct? There’s only one way to find out – will be testing it out this weekend for an upcoming pizza party on Friday night. Stay tuned to Twitter and SnapChat for live posted updates!
