Ahhhh it’s that time of year – the snow is FINALLY melting, it’s still light out after 5 pm, and mom expos are in FULL EFFECT! One of the greatest things about being a parent in NYC is the overload of parenting shows, advice and events.
The problem is, you don’t really know about them until AFTER you’re a parent! At least I didn’t! So share this list with all new and expecting parents you know, so they can attend one (or all!) of these so they can learn everything they’ll ever need. And they get some pretty cool goodie bags as attendees, too!

Jessica and Kaity know a few things about pregnancy, and they’ve brought in even more experts to get you a lot of the information you’ve been looking for! April 6th: Brooklyn Baby & Family Expo

My Thoughts on the expo: A Child Grows, throw a cute event here in the heart of Brooklyn. It’s a family-friendly event for expectant, new and seasoned parents (of children up to age 8) and will be a day of fun and education, where participants can interact with other parents, exhibitors and experts. There is also on-site babysitting available, so you can drop off the kids to play while you get to walk around without the big bulky stroller!
April 29th: Big City Moms Biggest Baby Shower
Location: Manhattan (Metropolitan Pavillion @ 125 W 18th St).
Date: April 29 (Tuesday) @ 6:30PM – 9:30PM.
Tickets: From $65 to $200 per person, or $175 to $250 per couple, register here.
MY FAVORITE PICK: I LOVED this event and actually got to attend when I was pregnant and before I was thrown into the wonderful world of moms in NYC. Big City Moms has over 100 of the best companies in the baby industry, it’s a one stop shop to test out, touch, feel and get educated on everything you can possibly need for your growing family. You’ll get lots of samples, and get to eat lots of food – so it’s fun for preggos haha. They also have celebrity speakers which is cool – I got to meet Jessica Alba for the Honest Company! It’s also known to register for their VIP ticket for the amazing swag bag you’ll get to pick up!
May 4th: Queens Mamas Expo at the NY Hall of Science
Location: Queens (NY Hall of Science @ 47-01 111th St).
Date: May 4 (Sunday) @ 10AM – 4PM.

MY FAVORITE QUEENS EVENT: Of course I love and attend this one every year being a Queens resident! You’ll see some of the main NYC vendors here, but also local ones as well! So you can find great places to shop and take the kids for classes all within walking distance 🙂
May 17th and 18th: NY Baby Show
Location: Manhattan (Pier 92 @ 711 12th Avenue).
Date: May 17 & 18 (Saturday & Sunday) @ 10AM – 4PM.
Tickets: Single $20, Family $30, register here.
Trip To The Pier: New York Family Baby Show is a great family day event. You can take a walk all the way over to the water on the pier and check out the vendors. They also have great speakers to check out so be sure to check the itinerary to see if you’d rather go on Saturday or Sunday. Plus, if you go early in the morning, you can then spend the day checking out some of the sites and park along the water!
