This post is made possible by support from Mean Girls on Broadway. All opinions are my own.
You know who you are. You’re a mean girl. We ALL are mean girls at one point or another.
It’s okay, I won’t make you come and admit your guilt before jumping into the arms of teenage girls you dissed, but I will say, put away your burn book and come see Mean Girls on Broadway. It’s very therapeutic for your self-assurance and confidence. But, alas, remember – we wear PINK on Wednesdays, so of course, that’s the best day of the week to come to Broadway.
How’s the Plot
It stays pretty true to the movie, but don’t think Tina Fay didn’t deliver you a few extra smart femme zingers in there. Cady comes from Africa to meet the uncharted territory of suburbian Illinois. Toss in some teenage young love, weight-gaining granola bars, and pink wardrobes and you’ll remember how tormenting high was – for all of us.
Oh, and for your Broadway junkies out there – Mean Girls features the book by nine-time Emmy Award winner Tina Fey, based on her screenplay for the film, music by three-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond, and lyrics by two-time Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin. Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs.
