After stabbings, stampedes and sales all weekend, I decided – well, maybe it’s time to do my holiday gift guide – which you can SAFELY purchase online for each. And it IS Cyber Monday – oh the irony! MUNCHIE MUG

This thing is so awesome.  I’ve been on a hunt for a great container that can hold some snacks for Maximo that (1) he can get his hand in and (2) doesn’t dump all over my floor. It’s actually really hard to find both of those components.

This is perfect because it has a fold-over cloth opening that lets him stick his hand in easily, while containing all those animal crackers. It’s also really easy to clean, and big enough to hold A LOT of crackers. I got mine at the New Jersey Baby Bazaar (which might I add was one of the COOLEST baby shows I’ve been to in the city!) at the Wee Babes table. They have a store in Brooklyn you can swing by.

It’s really become one of his favorite toys – he carries it around EVERYWHERE – so you can imagine it is a big hit for trips to the zoo or park in the stroller!

TIVOLI COUTURE

You really need to get one of these stroller snuggies (the real word is called bunting, but I mean, it looks like a mini snuggie!)  if you live in NYC. It’s been like what – 20 degrees out lately? But not for Maximo – he’s snug as a bug in this thing. He’ll sleep for HOURS he’s so toasty in there.

I got this one from Tivoli Couture which I recommend because it works in any stroller AND you can easily zip it out to be a mini sleeping bag OR a blanket on road trips!  So not only is this a warm snuggie for winter – I can take it with me to Pittsburgh in the summer – that makes it a GREAT INVESTMENT! Plus I really like how it has the fold over flap at the bottom to cover or uncover the feet. I also picked this up at the NJ Baby Bazaar – they zipped it right into the stroller right there – and off we went! That’s service right there! xoxo

LITTLE PIM

Listen – we freaking LOVE LITTLE PIM. Not only do these come in multiple languages, they are DOWNLOADABLE. To you non techies – that means we can watch them anywhere we don’t have wifi. Even in the middle of no where PA on the drive back to Pittsburgh, or one of the black hole buildings in NYC that seem to kill any cell service. You know exactly what I mean.

Also, Maximo is getting his learn on in Spanish, so I expect him to be speaking it better than me in about a month.

KIDVILLE TOYS

Kidville is one of our favorite places to go sing and dance at the Rockin’ Railroad classes (see all their fun classes here!) but they ALSO have toys to shop while we are there. Maximo, being the boy that he his, loves planes, trains and automobiles. We received this super cute toy plane in cherry red made by Kid-o, and Maximo won’t put it down. He actually loves when we have the plane come in and land on his head, and then to reciprocate it to us. It’s also really lightweight so it’s an easy toy to carry with us in the stoller on trips into the city.
There are tons of Kidville locations throughout NYC, so if you happen to be walking past one, you might want to run in and see their toy selection quick – and even grab a coffee!

TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

Okay, maybe just because I LOVED the TMNT as a kid – but I was super pumped to find out they are still as popular today as they were 20 years ago! They have the new game coming out (which I have to giveaway to you below! eek!) for Nintendo DDS, and I can’t wait till Maximo is big enough to play! I never thought I’d say I want my kid to play video games, but I learned a lot at the Activision Family Games Summit – like how not all games are violent, and many are great educational tools! FIX BLOWOUT BAR

Ok sooo this might not be a gift in a box (yes I am referencing the Saturday Night Live skit – if you don’t get it, just move on…..) but it’s AWESOME for us moms! This place is brilliant! You get a blowout AND a manicure – AT THE SAME TIME. Ask (or gift yourself!) for a gift certificate here – book a night with a couple friends and swing by here before dinner out.
