Still wondering what the F to get your child for the holidays this season? If you’ve read any of my prior holiday pieces, you’ll see that he’s not the easiest to find out (or is one to just give a full list of circled toys in a magazine). Besides using Santa to pull out the usual toy car, Lego, books items, there is always something that he gets that doesn’t end up under the tree – experiences!
We’re big travelers, and I find memories and life lessons are just as important (and fun!) to give as gifts. From snowboarding lessons to swim lessons, I find these sort of gifts almost better than a simple toy you discard after a few days – these skills and confidence can last a lifetime. Plus, watching him jump into the lake this summer as carefree as a kid should be was worth every moment we spend learning.
