Ahhhh you gotta love when city life and country life collide. Like when the PBR (Professional Bull Riding) comes to Madison Square Garden. Yes, they cover MSG with dirt and let cowboys ride bulls right in the middle of NYC. And I’ve been there. In fact – Shelby did we miss it this year????
Now – MONSTER TRUCKS. Yes I KNOW but come ON! I was a tom boy! I used to LOVE to watch the monster trucks and demolition derbies at the local county fairs as a kid. Seriously – it’s BAD ASS to watch cars get crunched. I know what you’re thinking – thank GOD I have a boy. hahaha.
Well, get ready my lovely Latino family because it’s time to get your country on. Since Maximo is too young to sit through anything longer than 20 minutes, I’ve decided to take my cute girlie little cousins instead. You know – dirty them up a little. The event will feature some of the most powerful Monster Jam trucks in the circuit, including Grave Digger®, Madusa®, Grave Digger The Legend®, Captain America, Thrasher, Black Stallion, Overkill Evolution, Crushstation, Storm Damage and more.
Standing at 12 feet tall and about 12 feet wide, Monster Jam trucks are custom-designed machines that sit atop 66-inch-tall tires and weigh a minimum of 10,000 pounds. Built for short, high-powered bursts of speed, Monster Jam trucks generate 1,500 to 2,000 horsepower and are capable of speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. Monster Jam trucks can fly up to 130 feet (a distance greater than 14 cars side by side) and up to 35 feet in the air.
Winner will receive a family four-pack of tickets to either the Friday, January 31st or Friday, February 14th shows. Winner tickets do not include Pit Party. You will pick up your tickets the day of the event at the will call window. Winner announced on Tuesday January 28th. Winner has 48 hours to claim or passed to a new winner.
Since I grew up in the redneck south, I feel obligated to try this at least once and introduce my newly minted US citizen hubby to what we do for fun. Besides I need real life experience to mimic those truck noises to bond with my boy. Gimme those tickets!!

From a mom of 2 boys – this show is so much fun. Bring ear muffs for the kiddies! My son has that exact Grave Digger Monster Truck and carries it with him everywhere!
