There is some hot new news on the market today – literally. Boston Market just dropped a bombshell – they’ve added Prime Rib to their rotisserie menu. Starting on Sunday and Wednesday evenings at 5pm (yes, TOMORROW!), you can get this delicious, juicy new hunk of USDA prime rib rotisserie meat at all locations (including the one on 10th Avenue).
What’s on the menu
For $15.99, you’ll be able to get a generous slab of juicy rotisserie prime rib (trust me, it’s ahhhh-mazing) that’s been slow spun in the famous oven for hours and hours. It also comes with two sides, their famous cornbread (oh yeah), horseradish cream sauce and of course, au jus.
The new rotisserie kitchen
You may have noticed something new about Boston Market. Pick it up yet? That’s right since they’re not just about chicken anymore (which, by the way is still just as delicious as always) they’ve changed their name to rotisserie kitchen. So that means you can always have the famous bird or add the new rotisserie prime rib to your plate OR go big and do both. YOLO.
Yes, you can still get the sweet potato casserole, but…
Let’s be honest, the best part of Boston Market is the fact that you get to choose from all these heavenly sides to accompany your meat (or maybe not because you have to pick only a couple!). While mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole will always grace my plate, they also do seasonal sides now, too (if you hadn’t noticed!) and right now it’s this broccoli bacon in a vinegarette that is so good it can get the pickiest toddler to love coniferous greens. I am not kidding. Be sure to check it out.
Where’s the closest location?
Funny you ask – the one on 1oth Avenue and 58th is actually close to my heart. I gave birth to Maximo at St. Luke’s Roosevelt and the only thing open at around there in the evening was Boston Market (ummm no complaints!). So after almost 48 hours with no food, Claudio rushed over to get me the most delicious post-birth meal I’ve ever had. While dropping little cornbread crumbs on Maximo’s tiny head, I knew that clearly, it was the best day of my life.
Oh, you want other locations? Well, just in case you forgot, the Greentree location in Pittsburgh was always my go-to for years and years (and will be visited on SUNDAY after the Pittsburgh Marathon on May 6 to celebrate my victory). There are also plenty of locations around NYC and Long Island, but you can find your closest one here.
