Every year it gets worse and worse – the dreaded birthday planning for the kids. And as they get older, they have more opinions, want more things…. birthdays are so out of hand it’s almost like planning a wedding once a year six months in advance. Over it.
This year, I am taking birthday’s back and celebrating – you guessed it – ME. BM (Before Maximo) I used to celebrate the entire month of May – from Cinco de Mayo to Memorial Weekend. It was glorious and before all this over the top stuff so I would just send out a text and everyone actually came. Sigh.
Since I am a mom, I wanted to make my own birthday special this year because – why not? I’m single, I’m still fun and I’m tired of getting all your wedding and baby shower invites in the mail. This month, you will receive one for little old me. Since I am old and old school, I decided to make really pretty invites, not go digital, and send using one of my favorite invitation services – Basic Invite. Here’s why:
Unlimited Colors – Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options so you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it down to the littlest detail (including the perfect Steelers yellow and black for my Pittsburgh-theme).
Custom Samples – Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before they ever have to place their final order. If you’re going ALL out – sometimes it helps to see the product before you spend all that money and uh oh arrives in the mail.
Free Address Collection Service – Basic Invite has a free address collection service to request your addresses! Just send a link to everyone you want to mail invites too, and Basic Invite does the rest in three simple steps: (1) share a link, (2) collect addresses, and (3) get free envelope printing!
I don’t know about you – but my time is valuable and filling out those envelopes is a huge PITA (pain in the ass – come on!) and this is my biggest selling point every time I send out cards! As a mom, I know they add up – we’re talking baby shower invitations, baby shower thank you cards , holidays, birthdays… that’s a lot of hand cramping when you think about it.
I know a few of you are preggo out there, and you’ll thank me. And if you’re not, well hey! Your birthday is just as special, so treat it as such!
This is a sponsored post by Basic Invite, but all opinions are my own. Thanks for supporting Football Food and Motherhood!
