I’ve been asked what we used to do when we got sick on the farm since we didn’t have doctors readily available.
Well, we just – got sick. We toughed it out. We never went to a doctor unless you lost a limb – literally. We did (and still do) use glue to close up “wounds” that aren’t life-threatening. That’s just the redneck way.
So to say we’ve come a ways since then is an understatement.
In fact, now you don’t even have to leave your house when you get sick. Because I mean, why should you be going out ot infect others anyways??
