I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Urbini. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and as a thank you for participating.
Strollers.
Fall is our favorite time of year to get out and explore as much as possible – the weather is cool, the scenery is spectacular, and you just seem to discover so much more. If you’ve been following along, we’ve been spending a lot of time upstate going apple picking, pumpkin picking, and well, haunted house searching. There is a lot to discover in the Hudson Valley, but you also been a stroller that can keep up with you. There is going to be a lot of walking involved, and little feet get tired faster than ours.
I’ve decided you need at least two strollers, possibly three in your life as you raise child. Three? I already see your head spinning – especially if you live here in NYC. But it’s true:
1. Your main go-to everyday stroller that is durable for all the walks, has enough storage to carry groceries back from the store, and well, light enough to lift up and down stairs.
2. Eventually that one is going to get too heavy – even for us tough moms. Then will enter the umbrella. The lightest stroller you can find that won’t fall apart after all those city sidewalks.
3. Then you’re going to wish you had a jogging stroller. Because eventually you want to lose the mom weight, and at some point you are going to leave the city (unless you’re that crazy Manhattanite that Miranda almost dated in Sex and the City who never left for like 25 years!). Not everything is level and concrete, and will need/want a stroller that doesn’t get stuck in the grass.
This is where we are now. Urbini Adventure Mom
So we decided to test the Urbini Avi Jogger and see if it was durable enough to take on city streets AND the mountainous hills of upstate New York.
A lot goes into buying a stroller, size, weight, durability, COST, and compatibility with car seats for the newborn… and I must say, the Urbini is really worth the bang for the buck. (These days, it doesn’t make sense to buy separate strollers for the car seat, most come with attachments that allow you to latch then to the main stroller until baby is big enough to ride by themselves!) Coming in at only $199, I can tell you it’s the most affordable stroller we own, and it easily became my favorite. Here is why:
Avi Jogger:
- The Avi is an all-terrain jogger that is built for smooth rides whether you are on a run, power-walk, or casual stroll.
- The Avi Jogger includes a responsive suspension, swivel-lock front wheel, and multi-position handle that offer stability, control, and maneuverability.
- Includes a single touch brake, on hand quick-fold, and maneuverable wheels that make for great functionality for when you need it most.
- Multi-position handle
- Self stands when folded
- Inflatable rubber tires
- 5-point harness
- 2-position canopy with peek-a-boo window
- Safety Wrist Strap
As mentioned, the Urbini Avi Jogger system comes with the Petal Infant Car seat at well. Why try and buy all the pieces separate? Car seats have also come a long way, even since Max was born two years ago.
Petal Infant Car Seat:
- The rear-facing Petal Infant car seat combines safety with super lightweight design.
- The deep sidewalls are lined with energy-absorbing foam and the carrier weighs less than 8 lbs.
- The adjustable harness with comfort pads grows with your baby to keep infants from 4 – 35lbs. snug and secure.
- The adjustable base includes a built-in lock off that makes installation a breeze
