Who is Stephanie Barnhart?
Writer, Editor and small business owner by day, mom by life.
I take life seriously, as in, “you better seriously enjoy every day to the fullest”.

Published Author
Featured in the New York Times, Huffington Post, NY Metro Parents Magazine, and PARENTGUIDE Magazine a few times. I was even on the NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.
One of my articles happened to go viral, you might have seen it:

National Events Director & NYC Editor
I am also the National Events Director and NYC Editor for MommyNearest.com – basically, the best app ever invented for parents.

Keynote Speaker
Sometimes people like to hear me speak. I was even the keynote speaker to over 800 female collegiates – talk about a tough crowd.

I have spoken at multiple conferences and seminars around the country on topics such as finding your #virtualvillage and single mom survival. That’s pretty powerful stuff.

Helping Other Moms
I am an advocate for change and helping other moms. We’ve even traveled back to Pittsburgh to donate two hospital-grade breast pumps with Medela to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

I hold St. Jude dearly in my heart, and will do anything to help spread their love and compassion for any child in the world with cancer. Literally families at St. Jude never pay a penny, for anything – from treatments to food to airfare. I dare you to find a more selfless community.
I also work with the NFL and NY Giants to help improve safety regulations with our kids, Ford Motor Company to talk parent and child safety in cars…and well, anything else that can help make a difference in the world our children will grow up in.

More than anything, I love spontaneous road trips or mini weekend getaways – and occasionally skipping out to travel the world. You’ll find me and my sidekick, Maximo, out and about in New York City as well looking for the best kid-friendly places. A few minor crimes, mishaps and calamities as well as eye-opening experiences have led us on a journey from football to food to motherhood.

“The only aspect of our travels that is guaranteed to hold an audience is disaster.”- Martha Gellhorn
