When’s the last time you got a night out with the girls?
Can’t remember? Here’s your annual checkup to make sure you fit that in.
I look forward to the Momtrends Moms’ Night Out every year. Well, I look forward to any and all moms’ night out that may occur, but once a year, Nicole pulls all us New Yorkers together for one night. We’re moms – city moms – this is no easy feat, and I must admit I’m surprised (and honored to be invited!) I’ve made it the last four years in a row. Because, well life.
But that’s why this night is so special. Sure we mingle with brands, but these friendships have blossomed into genuine ride or die relationships. And for that, I’ll always find time.
So let’s dive into the details of what happened behind the scenes. Because you want the juicy stuff.
Let’s be honest, it’s always a party when Geanine is there.
Let’s start off with Baby Dove. First – I want you all to know (which I do REGULARLY) that you can PERSONALIZE THE BOTTLES AS GIFTS. I’ve been doing it for all my friends having babies (spoiler alert for those of you back in Pittsburgh who just popped one out and will see me over Thanksgiving) for the last couple of years.
But why? Dove has been around since I was myself a youngin’ and it’s one of the most sensitive products you can buy. I’ve actually tested it in the labs. If you could nurture the microbiome your baby was born with, wouldn’t you? Baby Dove is uniquely made with prebiotic moisture and 100% skin-natural nutrients to gently nourish your baby’s delicate microbiome, or even you know, this slightly more “mature” baby looking skin on moms as well.
And well, Clorox.
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have Clorox wipes in their house. They’re basically the best thing ever invented for parents. Because – mess happens. And sometimes we make messes on purpose, too.
But alas, we’re New Yorkers and the main concern we have here is germs. Clean spaces serve as a springboard for kids’ creativity. Whether it’s setting the stage for creative play or wiping down the counter after a messy art project, Clorox Disinfecting Wipes provide a convenient and effective way to tackle life’s messes while killing 99.9% of germs.
Stay clean out there.
And of course, last but not least we have our favorite, Parents Magazine. In fact, a fellow mom and friend of ours is now the Editor-in-Chief (much deserved!). So if you’re wondering why what you’re reading is so fabulous, there is a solid team behind the pages.
Including the food editor who helps pull together all these seriously cool (and doable!) recipes and crafty ideas that you can make for kid-friendly or adults-only events and get-togethers. Because Halloween is more fun with creepy props and foods. These are made with marshmallows, melon and honey dew!
And turning donuts into spiders with pretzel sticks? I know you’re wondering why you didn’t think of that.
But Parents Magazine has lots of gems – from parenting advice to even scents. Yes – you turn all those essential oils you have at home into a wearable perfume.
And you can find even more cool things to do with all the things you have sitting around the home inside the pages too. We have so much time on our hands we can always use another trip to Target for extra supplies (especially Baby Dove and Clorox!)
So anyway, if you’re reading this and thinking you need a mom’s night out (or in!), make it happen. Even if it’s just with yourself (like I am doing tonight as I type this!) – just remember life is short, so enjoy and make the most of it. Friends and family help make it better, too.
xx, Stephanie
