In 2019, everyone is feeling the need to “do it all.” And you know what I mean. We’re talking insane levels of reality like bounce back from having a baby to present to the world within hours, look like you’re about to walk the red carpet at school drop off, bake Food Network worthy birthday cakes.
So when do you have time to get to your perfectly curated yoga class in between all this and breastfeeding because, all natural, right and self-care?
You don’t. Everyone who’s preaching that they do is lying. Or has a team of nannies and make-up artists. That’s cheating. There’s no cheating in real life.
This is why I’ve realized trying to “do it all” on social media isn’t helping anyone, especially myself.
While I am all about a good workout, I’ve realized that trying to squeeze in classes every day was causing more stress trying to get there and fit it in mid-day, while also trying to carry a change of clothes, have time to shower. It wasn’t worth the effort anymore, and I needed to find better options, especially when I can’t run outside.
What I am about to tell you might seem even more impossible, because, NYC small apartments, but it’s 100 truth.
I got a Bowflex Max8.
And yes, it fits in my bedroom. It’s become the most beautiful accent piece I own.
Ok, before you go off on judgy rants and crying excuses, just listen for a minute – that’s why you’re here, right?
THIS THING WILL BREAK YOU IN 14 MINUTES.
I shower longer than that.
So not only do you get a solid workout in on the Bowflex Max8 before you leave (it takes 14 minutes!), you can do it while the kids are eating breakfast and watching cartoons.
Other cool facts:
- Technology is smart you guys. Embrace it. I’ve been saying it. Bowflex’s® new Athletic Intelligence® app leverages Artificial Intelligence capabilities to take your work out to the next level. The idea of home workouts just became even more convenient. New personalization capabilities mean you’re saving time as workouts start at only 4 minutes. WHAT? Yes. 4 minutes is better than no minutes and these 4 minutes will HURT.
- AthleticIntelligence isn’t just a product feature, it’s Bowflex’s next step in addressing the future of fitness. This smart solution is meant to enhance the customer experience by increasing performance and optimizing results. The Bowflex M8 incorporates this technology into the app (who is called Max – very serendipitous!), so you can keep track of your workouts and manage your goals. And it’s something that you can actually FIND TIME TO DO.
- Athletic Intelligence is powered by data-driven insights that are designed to create optimized results. “Max” will push you to find your own personal levels, so it knows exactly the speed/resistance you need to burn the most calories, get the best endurance, and feel the best out of a 14-minute HITT session. It’s like having your own coach right there. It automatically pushes you.
Will I give up my fun and flashy fitness classes?
No. No one said it’s all or nothing. Balance, people. I still love the social aspect of getting my ass kicked in a group at Barry’s, but sometimes I just cannot get to Barry’s and having this Bowflex M8 at home will allow me to focus on my individual needs and goals. Instead of feeling bad because I have to skip a class or stressing out because I have to work that large amount of time into my schedule, I’m able to get in a solid workout right at home. That’s peace of mind for me.
I’ll be doing a follow-up in a few months after I give this thing a test run to see if it really lives up to my expectations, and if these 14-minute at-home HITTS are making the difference – both mentally and physically. So stay tuned!
