Alll the joys of BTS (back to school for you NOOBS) are here people! Schedules, homework, tests and yes, school lunches. I didn’t realize that going to our school meant making school lunches for basically the rest of my life. That’s a commitment, so anything making that morning routine easier is MUSIC TO MY EARS. But I also have a picky eater. So all those fancy cute lunches you parents are trying to make me feel bad about – you don’t. I laugh at your honestly to admit how early you’re getting up to do that. For me – it’s all about convenience, and as always Babbleboxx has sent me some new picks just in time that are PERFECT for that mom who rushes out the door every am like me. Check it out:
1. Shipt
We thrive on apps in NYC. I couldn’t function without them. I order my groceries, book my housekeeper and my Barry’s Bootcamp all while commuting on the train. But sometimes it can work against me. Like any normal parent, sometimes I forget things, and without a car, we can’t do last night last minute runs to Target to finish our science homework. That is, until now. Shipt (hello TARGET!) delivers within an hour of your choosing and delivery is free over $35! Yes, that means you can order those weird ingredients to make volcanos bubble during bathtime and still have them arrive before bed.
I honestly love Shipt. We tested it when I literally forgot lunch supplies last week and instead of running to the grocery store in the rain, Max picked his snacks while we cuddled on the couch and poof – our grocery delivery arrived before I could even get up to make dinner.
Just for you: You can scoop up an annual membership to Shipt here for only $49 with my custom link!
2. Lundberg: White Rice & Quinoa Entree
I know, that plate looks AMAZING right? Would you believe me if I told you the rice/quinoa only took 10 minutes and it’s organic? (The meat you can learn more about below). Maximo is very rare to expand his horizons, so I play with making food look really, REALLY appetizing to try and convince him how tasty it is. And Lundberg Organic Rice and Quinoa make that very simple, convenient and delicious for me (did I also mention, vegan?)
We’ve come a long ways from tv dinners in 2018. Big fan.

3. MadeGood
Another difference in school I am adjusting to is allergies. This year Max has a classmate who is so severely allergic to nuts that we don’t even have Nutella toast for breakfast in fear that we might not wash our hands good enough before running out the door (don’t worry – we just save it for AFTER school). But snacks like Made Good are helping moms like me find things that kids will love to eat that are also school safe and allergy-free. The chocolate banana granola minis are 100!

4. EAT PRE
Oh yes, mom’s favorite. I grew up on a farm so I am also a meat eater. While we try to limit our intake of red meats to a few times a week (I mean, we would all love to eat Ribeye everyday but… alas), I make sure it’s worth it. I have officially learned how to perfect the char-broiled ribeye in a tiny NYC apartment – no grill. However, you must realize that it really counts about the QUALITY of the meat you’re cooking. Just slapping some questionable meat on a sizzling cast iron won’t do. All Pre meats are pasture-raised, grass fed beef. There are no hormones or antibiotics. And the best part? You can order and have delivered online. I haven’t bought meat in a grocery store in almost three years! Try and tell me you can’t taste the difference.
