This is the year of you, right? Or, it was supposed to be. For all those missed yoga classes, skipped naps and late nights making last-minute bake sale cookies – this year, it’s all about you. Trust me, Amazon has you covered with SAME DAY shipping for toys, so you don’t even need to stress. Let’s focus on the things that are going to carry you over the finish line into 2019.
1. Air Fryer
Out of all the contraptions out there – Instapot, Vitamix, even a damn egg peeler – this one might actually be worth that valuable counter space. It’s going to save you time (and as we get older time IS money), and it’s even going to save you calories. Air Fryer means exactly that – baked with air. Hot air. And this is the good kind, not the stuff your head might be full of.
Where to get it: Sam’s Club $140. I’ve been researching a lot of them and this is my favorite.
2. New Sheets
Sleep is precious, so you better enjoy what you can. You don’t need me to remind you of all the studies that say we don’t get enough, your bags under your eyes say it all. Even if it’s only a few hours, it should still be the best three hours of your life.
Where to get it: Brooklinen $100-$300 (has 20% right now). Image by Brooklinen.
3. Fitness Watch
Run. We’re always running. Some of us run more than others, but with some of the hot tech on the market these days, you might as sport some serious bling while you count your steps. Want to get real fancy? Some of them take it to the next level. Like the new Apple Watch can even detect falls (off a cliff on a trail??) and call emergency services and allows you to run your own ECG tests for heart irregularities for us hypochondriacs. Also kind of loving these G-Shock S Series throwbacks that also now have some pretty serious integrations.
Where to get it: Apple Series 4 $399, or Samsung from $250, G-Shock S Series $130
4. Something Pretty
Tired of all the Lego decor happening in your living room? Pick up something to adult your room without going overboard. These 3-D stadium cutouts are pretty chic and allow a little bit of football in the household without going overboard. PS – They even have Three Rivers Stadium, Pittsburgh!
Where to get it: Home Fields $99 gets you a stadium and stand. Get 10% off too if you use code ‘stephanie’
5. Stop Losing Things
How many times have you lost your cell, coat, keys, mind? It happens to the best of us. You’re freaking out cause you can’t find your phone – and you’re holding it in your hand. Tile takes that away. I swear, I once lost my Canon DSR for months. Don’t ask how – but I did. Now, I never will again. And since I’d rather not pay that price tag for a new car key, I have one on there, too.
Where to get it: Tile Get a four-pack for only $100 now PLUS an Amazon Echo.
6. Something delicious
Now that you have that air fryer, you need something to put in it. I love to cook healthy, but I also will forever be a meat lover. I do however prefer my meats top-quality. Pre
The best part is that it is delivered. It cuts out the middleman and delivers prime, quality cuts right to your door in time for dinner.

7. A little getaway
The country girl in me can’t help but get away, and now that we caved and got a car in NYC, we sneak out even more. There are so many great places to explore within a couple hours of the city – the Poconos, Catskills and Hudson are high on my list. But my real place to get away is Vermont. Yes, it’s about a five-hour drive from the city – but it’s worth every mile. With kids or without, it has something for everyone from spas, to mountain biking to the prettiest hikes to give all your friends FOMO on Instagram. One of my favorites? The Wildflower Inn in Burke, Vermont. I know the owner personally (so tell them hello!) and they are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Also toss in seeing one of the most incredible sunrises of your life, mountain biking for all ages (yes, you can DROP OFF the kids), and delicious food on-site AND in town, it’s the best way to escape city life and reconnect with yourself or family or friends.
Where to get it: The Wildflower Inn, Burke Vermont (ask for Jim!) they’re running a Home for the Holidays special right now that includes a Christmas tree in your room/house, ornaments, breakfast every day and some other local treats.
8. Stay young and fresh: Vichy
I am not a makeup girl or beauty products hoarder though I sometimes feel like it with sample season. One of my favorites that have stuck is Vichy. They’re French (have you seen French women??) which is now carried in the USA (ahem, Duane Reade New Yorkers) and they have some great products for us city ladies. We may not realize but we walk around all day in polluted air and all those bad things are making you look order. Reality Check. Seriously, I freaked out too when I first learned this from my facialist. It’s not all stress lines. But Vichy has this cool mineralizing thermal water that has over 15 mineral from volcanic ash over there that I spray on my face before heading out the door. It’s like your own Iron Mask. I mean, if you’re worried about what you touch on the subway, don’t even think about what’s floating around on your face.
Where to get it: Duane Reade $9 (that’s it!) But they also have really great serums, moisturizers AND masks. Check it out when you’re there.
9. Something Warm
You can never have enough hats or so I say. And besides, they’re like umbrellas and lighters – if you leave one someone else will give it a home. I’ve seen this a few times with lost Terrible Towels, so I know that Steelers gear is never unloved (unless you lose it in Baltimore or Boston). The almanac says it’s gonna be a cold one anyway, so you better grab this now in time for playoffs next month.
Where to get it: New Era Knit Hat on NFLshop.com, $19.99
